On March 13, 2024, FDIBA hosted more than 60 students from the 35th scholl for foreign languages “Dobri Voynikov” – Sofia, with which it has signed a cooperation agreement. The dean of the faculty, Prof. Dr. Eng. Marin Marinov presented to the students the opportunities for studying in the bachelor’s degree in the specialties “Computer Systems and Technologies (CST)”, “Mechatronics and Information Technology (MIT)” and “Business Informatics (BI) “, together with the partner universities from Germany – Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg and Karlsruhe Institute for Technologies (KIT). The meeting was attended by Dr. Mitko Vassilev, long-time CEO of the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of FDIBA, who presented opportunities for internships and work in German companies. Dr. Maximilian Döhner, lecturer (DAAD Lectorate Bulgarian) and undergraduate lecturer at FDIBA introduced the German Academic Exchange Service. Students had the opportunity to ask questions. FDIBA students – Georgi Nenov, Maria Todorova, Mihaela Stoicheva, Teodora Alexandrova and David Popov – answered the questions.
The students briefly visited a lecture on electrical engineering by Prof. Dr. Eng. Ivan Kostov, visited the faculty’s library and reading room, accompanied by Mrs. Ralitsa Yaneva, as well as the virtual reality laboratory, where Dr. Eng. Dimo Chotrov and Eng. Angel Bachvarov presented projects developed by students. FDIBA gave everyone flyers, wristbands, and stickers, and to the winners of the competition with questions hats with the logo of the faculty.
