FDIBA AppHACK (hackathon) is a competition for innovations in technology, mechatronics, informatics and business from all industries. FDIBA AppHACK is organized by the Faculty of German Engineering Education and Industrial Management at the Technical University of Sofia.
FDIBA AppHACK will take place on 12 October 2023.
Participation is open to all students studying at the Faculty of German Engineering and Industrial Management , as well as high school students. Participants can work individually and/or form teams of up to 5 people to work together on one or more of the assigned case studies from the organizations.
The projects will be evaluated by a jury of experts from practice and academics. Each organization that has assigned a case study will determine a winning team and award them a prize.
Each participant should be familiar with the participation regulations.

- 09.00 – 09.30 Registration
- 09.30 – 10.00 Formal opening
- 10.00 – 14.00 Work on the projects/case studies assigned by the organisations
- 14.00 – 14.30 Preparation for presentation to a jury (with presentation and/or demonstration). Each team has up to 5 minutes to defend the developed project.
- 14.30 – 17.00 Presentation in front of jury and evaluation
- 17.00 – 17.30 Announcement and awarding of the winners – Prizes and Certificates
- 17.30 – 18.00 Achievements and closure
